I am triple board certified in Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, and Pediatrics. I have over 15 years of experience in dermatology and teledermatology at an academic institution. My mission is to extend the highest level of skincare to both children and adults. I have expertise in treating all skin conditions, but I especially enjoy treating acne, since I realize its potential to impact self-esteem. I believe that dermatologic care should be accessible and affordable. I appreciate the opportunity to help you achieve clear skin!

An online visit with your board-certified dermatologist is $95.

Robin Gehris, MD offers online dermatology care through DermatologistOnCall. These on-demand virtual visits mirror the treatment you would expect to receive in your dermatologist’s office. Unlike in-person care, no appointment is needed, and you may start your visit at any time.

Online care is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. Create a patient profile.
  2. Describe your dermatology concern and upload photos.
  3. Get your diagnosis and treatment plan.

Robin Gehris, MD treats patients from her virtual office in Estero, FL.

Can I see a dermatologist right now?

You can start a visit at any time. Because DermatologistOnCall is a store-and-forward platform, there is no need to wait for an appointment. Using the portal, you will tell your dermatologist about your condition and upload 2-9 photos of the affected area. Your dermatologist will then review your information and provide a diagnosis and treatment plan.

How soon can I expect a diagnosis?

After you submit your medical information and photos, you can typically expect your diagnosis and treatment plan within 24 hours or less. All visits are addressed within 3 business days. You may communicate with your dermatologist for up to 30 days concerning your diagnosis and treatment plan using our in-platform messaging tool.

Are online dermatology visits only available for certain conditions?

Sample dermatology group can diagnose over 3,000 skin, hair and nail conditions through their virtual office.

How much does an online dermatology visit cost?

The cost of an online dermatology visit is $95, which includes the diagnosis, personalized treatment plan and if applicable, prescription routing to your pharmacy. The fee does not cover the cost of the prescription(s) or the cost of any follow up visits.

Is this service covered by insurance?

DermatologistOnCall does not accept insurance. However, online care may be covered by certain insurance plans as an out-of-network benefit. You may submit your visit to your carrier for reimbursement. Many of our patients pay for visits using their Health Spending Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Of course, all major credit cards are accepted, too.

Are my prescriptions covered?

No, your $95 visit fee only covers the cost of the diagnosis and treatment plan. You may use any insurance pharmacy benefit to cover the cost of any prescribed medications or devices. Prescription coverage terms vary by insurance carrier. Prescriptions issued by out-of-network providers may or may not be covered by your plan. If you have concerns about prescription drug coverage or are a Medicaid beneficiary, make your provider aware of this during your visit. Please consult with your health insurance carrier for additional details on prescription medication coverage and/or reimbursement.

What if I need a skin biopsy or in-office procedure?

If your doctor determines that an in-office procedure is needed, please contact our staff to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Additional visit costs or insurance claims will apply.

Are my personal health information and photos kept confidential?

Yes! Our online dermatology care platform is secure and 100% HIPAA and HITECH compliant.
