A national network of online dermatologists
Our online dermatologists are able to treat patients in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. When you start a virtual dermatology visit with DermatologistOnCall, you know you're getting the highest quality skin care. All doctors on our platform are US board-certified, live in the United States, and are licensed in the states in which they are practicing.
Our online dermatologists can diagnose and treat the full spectrum of skin conditions
There are more than 3,000 conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. Our online dermatologists are able to treat the vast majority during a virtual dermatology visit. From diagnosing acute conditions like rashes, insect bites, and toenail fungus to managing chronic conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis, or even examining a changing mole for melanoma, our doctors are prepared to help.
Virtual dermatology makes sense. Dermatologists are trained to diagnose based on images.
For DermatologistOnCall doctors, looking at digital photos uploaded during an online visit mimics what they've already experienced during their education and training to become a dermatologist. Knowing how to analyze and diagnose conditions based on images is very familiar to them, which makes online dermatology such a natural extension of their practice.
Of course, not every single medical case is suited for online dermatology; for example, annual full-body examinations and certain procedures should be handled through in-office visits. However, thousands of skin, hair, and nail conditions can be diagnosed through the online visit format. And our online patients agree: 98% say they'd recommend the service to someone else.
Your online dermatology visit will mimic what occurs during a typical nonprocedural in-office visit.
A virtual dermatology visit with DermatologistOnCall is a real medical visit. You will provide some basic medical information and answer a few questions about your skin condition as you would in a brick-and-mortar office. Instead of a visual examination, you will upload photos of the affected area. The dermatologist you have selected will then review your medical history and evaluate the photographs you've uploaded to the portal. With that information, they will be able to diagnose, treat, and prescribe any medications - if necessary. The medications will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.
You will receive a detailed treatment plan online, stored in your patient account for future reference, and you can have a copy of your diagnosis and treatment plan faxed to your primary care physician. If you have a follow-up question, you can send the doctor a message for up to 30 days.
An online dermatology visit with our doctors is comprehensive, diagnostic, and customized to your needs.
