Exciting updates at DermatologistOnCall

You may have noticed things look a bit different around here. DermatologistOnCall is thrilled to share our new look and feel with our patients, providers, and partners. Of course, just like dermatology, the changes are more than cosmetic. Here’s what’s happening beneath the surface:

More Providers, Complete Coverage

We’ve expanded our coverage to all 50 states and the District of Columbia. We’re also proud to announce that we continue to add new providers to the platform each month to ensure that you can find an online dermatologist who meets your needs.

Cancel Button

We understand that life happens. So long as your visit is not in-progress with your provider, you can cancel your visit without contacting customer support. To help us serve you better, we’ve also included space to tell us why you’ve canceled your visit.

Inclusive Language

At DermatologistOnCall, we want everyone to feel welcome in our virtual offices. We’ve introduced more inclusive language in our intake forms for our transgender and gender-nonconforming patients. In addition to male and female, you can now indicate transgender or other with a free-form textbox to share with your provider how you identify. All patients will now be served a series of questions regarding pregnancy to ensure that each patient receives clinically appropriate care.

Improved Treatment Plans

We’ve rearranged our treatment plants to make it easy for you to understand the next steps in addressing your condition. Your prescription (if needed) and a personal message from your provider can be found directly under your diagnosis summary.

Receipts Optimized for Insurance Plans

We’ve made a few changes to the receipt you receive following your visit. These changes make it easier for you to submit your teledermatology visit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.

Again, we thank every patient who has filled out a satisfaction survey or taken a moment out of their day to reach out to our team. Additionally, we thank our team of nearly 200 providers that offer continuous feedback on how we can do better. It’s this feedback and support that enables us to provide convenient, high-quality dermatology care.
